Spectators come to the New River Gorge Bridge Day Festival from all over the world! Browse through over 180 vendors to find the perfect souvenir. There are also food vendors lined along the bridge.

About Bridge Day
Bridge Day is the largest extreme sports event in the world and is held on the third Saturday in October every year in Fayette County, West Virginia (WV), USA. Hundreds of BASE jumpers and nearly 80,000 spectators are expected to attend this year's Bridge Day on Saturday, October 18, 2008. The New River Gorge Bridge, 876' tall and the world's second longest single arch bridge, serves as the launch point for six hours (9am-3pm EST) of safe, legal BASE jumps.

Schedule of Events
Bridge Day events take place all weekend in the New River Gorge. From the Taste of Bridge Day on Friday through the area attractions on Sunday, there is plenty to do in New River Country!

Taste of Bridge Day
This is a fantastic way to sample a lot for a little! Our regional restaurants will showcase some of the finest foods in unique creations that will surely please the palate. Experience a diversity of West Virginia?s finest food products while overlooking fantastic views at "The Taste of Bridge Day."

Getting to the Festival
Get driving directions to the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayetteville, WV as well as parking and bus shuttle information sponsored by Appalachian Power.

Down Under Tours
West Virginia American Water and the New River Juniors have teamed up this year to make it possible for individuals to view Bridge Day from the bottom of the New River Gorge. For $50 per person individuals will be able to pick a time of either 8:30 am or 12:30 pm to board a van that will take you into the Gorge to watch rappellers as they slide and BASE jumpers as they leap 876 ft to the bottom.
